The EAS system has become an indispensable device for daily business operators, because only with the EAS system can they ensure the safety of their goods and prevent them from being illegally taken by thieves without paying.
EAS systems have existed in the market for many years, and many professionals are very proficient in EAS technology. Of course, for many direct merchants, they do not understand EAS technology, so they do not know how to solve problems when they encounter problems. , As an EAS salesperson, I will sort out how to troubleshoot and solve EAS problems for those who do not understand EAS technology.
1.False alarms caused by anti-theft tags
Problem: Anti-theft tags, especially anti-theft hard tags, are too close to the detection antenna and cause self-sounding.
Reason: The device has a certain ability to detect the back area, and it detects a nearby tag and causes self-sounding.
Workaround: Move the tags that are too close. If the site is limited, first remove the detection antenna to ensure that the detection antenna does not sing, and then gradually put it back, so as not to cause sing-along.Generally more than 2 meters is better, if the installation distance is too wide, it is required to be farther.
2. Mutual interference between anti-theft devices, between decoders, and between decoders and anti-theft devices
There is mutual interference between anti-theft devices, between decoders, and between decoders and anti-theft devices. It is necessary to check each device one by one. Because the antenna and the decoder have the same frequency, they will receive signals and work to a certain extent. interference and influence, so the antenna and decoder should not be too close.
3.Electrical appliances related to switching power supply cause interference
Question: Does the anti-theft antenna chime or not alarm due to the power off in the sky?
Reason: The switching power supply lacking electromagnetic detection produces a strong 58KHZ radio wave, which will transmit a long distance through the wire and affect the anti-theft device.
Solution: Temporarily turn off the electrical equipment that uses the switching power supply. If the anti-theft device works normally, replace the switching power supply. Generally, the switching power supply of a regular big brand will not affect the equipment. When testing, you can observe the changes of the interference indicator lights on the circuit board, and it is better if one is not on.
4.Transformer-related electricity use causes interference
Question: The anti-theft antenna beeps or does not alarm?
Reason: Large transformers will generate wide frequency interference, which may include a frequency of 58KHZ, which will interfere with the anti-theft device.
Solution: Under normal circumstances, large transformers will affect the anti-theft antenna, so try not to install them near these devices. If they cannot be avoided, they must be installed after testing.
5.Electricity related to electric motors or generators causing disturbances
Question: The anti-theft antenna beeps or does not alarm?
Reason: Frequently started motors or generators will generate high-intensity, high-bandwidth frequency interference, which may include a frequency of 58KHZ, which will interfere with the anti-theft device.
Solution: Large motors may have an impact on the anti-theft antenna, so try not to install them near these devices. If they cannot be avoided, they must be installed after testing. There is no need to debug the equipment for the interference caused by the temporary power consumption, and the equipment will automatically return to normal after the power consumption ends.
6.Power usage associated with chargers causing interference
Question: The anti-theft antenna beeps or does not alarm?
Reason: The ground plug may cause equipment interference, because the radio waves generated by other electrical equipment are transmitted to the ground plug very close to the anti-theft antenna through the power line. The charger will generate strong electric waves due to frequent charging and discharging.
Solution: The charger generates strong electric waves due to the frequent charging and discharging process, which affects the anti-theft device. The charger and other electrical appliances with strong interference may transmit interference electric waves through the power cord. Therefore, in addition to the EAS dedicated power cord, other 220V power cords should not pass through the ground where EAS equipment is installed and within 3 meters of the surrounding area. This problem can be solved by keeping all the chargers and their power cords away from the anti-theft device, and the ground plug near the EAS can solve the ground plug transmission interference.
