Working principle of EAS tags
The EAS antenna has a specific detection distance. When the tag appears in the detection range specified by the antenna, it will trigger the antenna's alarm. The ordinary EAS tag itself has no alarm function, and it will only trigger the EAS antenna's alarm.
Regarding EAS antennas, different manufacturers have different detection distances. This is generally determined by the board inside the antenna. Some boards have a wide detection distance. For example, if the detection distance is 2 meters, then if the tag is within 2 meters, the antenna will be triggered. Alarm, if the detection distance of the antenna is only 1.2 meters, the tag will only trigger the antenna alarm within 1.2 meters.
Of course, for ordinary EAS tags, they do not have an alarm function and will only trigger the alarm of the EAS antenna. But sometimes for some relatively high-end products, if a thief destroys the label, or the antenna fails to detect it when going out, it will cause a great loss of the product. Therefore, the technicians have researched on this basis. The tag that can alarm by itself means that the tag can not only trigger the alarm of the antenna, but also the tag itself, which will provide an additional level of protection for valuable commodities.
